Nevada County Live - Peardale and Chicago Park
Some of the most beautiful
land in the Foothills is along the scenic route of HWY
#174. Peardale and Chicago Park is located about 15
minutes east of Grass Valley, 10 minutes west of Colfax and I-80
makes it an ideal location for those who wish easy access to Hwy
# 80.
The Overland Immigrant Trail, aka the Donner Trail, passes through the area. Settled by farmers, this area is well known for it's pear, apple & peach orchards. There are many ranches and large parcels, most with tall pines, cedars, oaks, madrones and fruit trees.
Rollins Lake (Pictured: Troop 136 on a canoe trip) lake offers boating and fishing, camping and RV hookups, and a camp store with bar and grill. The American River is nearby, and hiking trails abound.
